Sen. Slap, Lawmakers To Host Legislative Preview Forums
One forum is planned in Burlington on Wednesday, Jan. 18, and the other in Farmington on Tuesday, Jan. 23.
State Sen. Derek Slap, D-West Hartford, is participating in two legislative preview forums starting this week to inform constituents of what to expect when lawmakers convene in Hartford.
Slap, the deputy majority leader, serves the 5th Senate District towns of West Hartford, Farmington, Burlington and Bloomfield.
He is taking part in the following legislative forums:

• On Thursday, Jan. 18, Slap and state Rep. John Piscopo, R-Thomaston, will be at the Burlington Senior Center, 200 Spielman Highway, Burlington, at 1 p.m.
The lawmakers plan to discuss their priorities for the 2024 session and open up the conversation to hear constituent concerns and questions.

• On Tuesday, Jan. 23, Slap; state Sen. Rick Lopes, D-New Britain; state Rep. Mike Demicco, D-Farmington; and state Rep. Francis Cooley, R-Plainville, will be at the Farmington Senior Center for a similar meeting at 6:30 p.m.
