Serious Crash Involving Tractor Trailer In Farmington Cleared: Update
State officials said the backup extended 2 miles and several exits on the highway.

FARMINGTON, CT — A serious crash involving a tractor trailer in Farmington had traffic backed up on Interstate 84, according to the state Department of Transportation, but it has since been cleared.
The DOT reports I-84 east had traffic backed up 2 miles following a tractor trailer collision with a vehicle between exits 39 and 39A.
As a result of the incident, the left lane was closed and the traffic backup went back to Exit 36, the DOT said.

The crash was first reported just after 2 p.m., but it is now no longer listed on the DOT's incident report.
