FARMINGTON, CT — Folks looking for a nice cup of coffee with extra law enforcement will be able to indulge that craving on Thursday, Feb. 29, at the local Starbucks.

The Farmington Police Department will be at the Farmington Starbucks, 838 Farmington Ave., for a "Coffee with a Cop" event from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m..

Such programs are a means for community members to meet and interact with local law enforcement in a casual, relaxed environment.

It not only allows residents to learn a little about law enforcement, but it also allows law enforcers to learn about what is concerning folks in the town they serve.

In addition to "coffee and conversation," however, those attending will be able to get an up-close-and-personal look at Farmington Police Dog "Nash."
