Solemn Police Procession To Honor Fallen Trooper Friday
A large law enforcement contingent will escort the remains of fallen Trooper Aaron Pelletier from Farmington to a Southington funeral home.

FARMINGTON/SOUTHINGTON, CT — A large contingent of law enforcers are expected to be on hand today for the solemn process in honor of a fallen state police hero.
Trooper First Class Aaron Pelletier, a Southington native and resident, was killed after being struck by a pickup truck on Interstate 84 in Southington Thursday afternoon just after he had made a traffic stop.
Connecticut State Police Friday morning announced the Connecticut State Police Traffic Services Unit will be escorting Pelletier's remains from the Office of the Chief State Medical Examiner in Farmington to a Southington funeral home.

The procession will start at noon Friday, May 31.
Pelletier will be taken from the ME's office to the Della Vecchia Funeral Home at 211 N. Main St., Southington.

Police said the route of the procession will be Route 4 to Interstate 84 West to Exit 32 onto Queen Street in Southington.
"All parties interested in witnessing the escort procession are asked to do so from a safe location clear of the roadway," wrote police Friday morning.

The CSP Traffic Services Unit will be escorting TFC Aaron Pelletier, from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Farmington, to Della Vecchia Funeral Home, in Southington, at 12:00 p.m.. Anyone watching the procession is asked to do so at a safe distance from the roadway.
