According to the January 2022 accident report, Jackson was driving a 2007 Ford F-150 pickup truck eastbound on Interstate 84 in Farmington on Jan. 11, 2022 at about 7:13 p.m. that day.
Police said Jackson's pickup collided with another vehicle "for an unknown reason" between exits 37 and 39, then jumped the center median and hit another vehicle in the westbound travel lane, which then struck another.
Several injuries, some serious, were reported in the chain-reaction crash, with Windsor resident Nia Justice McDougald, 20, losing her life in the accident.
McDougald was driving a 2003 Toyota Camry that was slammed by Jackson's vehicle after it jumped the median and entered the westbound side of I-84. She died at Hartford Hospital.
