Spring Fever? Here Are the Best Ice Cream Spots in Connecticut
The online site onlyinyourstate.com has selected the top 11 locations in the state for delicious ice cream.
The calendar has turned to March, and in Connecticut, signs of spring are everywhere - no snow on the ground, temperatures in the 40s and 50s, kids tossing a baseball around in the park.
Another telltale indication of the imminent arrival of spring is the opening of ice cream shops around the region. With that in mind, the online site www.onlyinyourstate.com recently featured their list of the 11 best ice cream shops in the Nutmeg State.
“I’m not talking about frozen yogurt here. I’m talking about the real deal!” author Taylor Ellis wrote. “ While ice cream as we know it today has been around for hundreds of years, it used to be a treat reserved for the elite. Now ice cream is a staple of warm sunny days and getting through the blues. But do you know where to go for a super tasty scoop of frozen awesomeness?”
