State Tournament Play to Open for Farmington

FARMINGTON, CT — Cross country is over, swimming brackets will be announced later this week and football still has three games to go, but four other sports begin their state tournaments over the next three days, with three involving teams from Farmington High School.

Listed in order of better seeds, here is the upcoming tournament schedule for Indian teams:

• girls volleyball (L): Lauralton Hall/Bunnell winner at No. 5 Farmington, Thurs., 11/9, 6 p.m.
• boys soccer (LL): No. 27 Westhill at No. 6 Farmington, Mon., 11/6, 2 p.m.
• girls soccer (L): No. 22 Killingly at No. 11 Farmington, Tues., 11/7, 4 p.m.

Here are the records for those teams in state championship game history:

• girls volleyball: 8-4 (last title, 2014)
• boys soccer: 12-6 (last title, 2016)
• girls soccer: 3-7 (last title, 2005)
