Students and Residents Speak in Favor of School Budget Proposal
The proposal comes with a small increase over the current year, which should maintain current service levels.

As budget season in Farmington gets underway, several students and other town residents encouraged the Town Council to pass the $60.7 million budget.
The entire town budget proposal is $97.7 million, which represents a 3.65 percent increase over the current budget, according to the Hartford Courant.
The Board of Education budget proposal comes with a 4.25 percent increase.

Town Manager Kathy Eagen said the budget maintains current service levels. Money allocated for capital improvements would increase by nearly 10 percent.
