Suspects Arrested in Farmington Gas Station Robbery

The robbery was followed by a five-town pursuit which ended in Hartford.

FARMINGTON, CT — Farmington police have arrested a pair of men in connection with the Friday afternoon armed robbery of a gas station, which led to a multi-town pursuit ending in Hartford.

Jason Thomas, 36, of Hartford and Kenneth McManus, 29, of Ellington, were each charged with first-degree robbery, conspiracy to commit first-degree robbery, sixth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny.

They are being held on $50,000 bond apiece.

At 3:47 p.m. Friday, the Fastrac Sunoco at 989 Farmington Avenue was robbed at gunpoint by a lone suspect, who escaped in a vehicle driven by a second suspect. A pursuit by multiple law enforcement agencies traveled through Avon, Simsbury and Bloomfield before ending in Sigourney Street in Hartford.

Police did not indicate which of the suspects committed the robbery and which was the driver.
