FARMINGTON, CT — A 13-year-old boy riding an electric bicycle suffered serious injuries Sunday night after a collision with a motor vehicle, Farmington police said.

According to the Farmington Police Department, the accident was at the intersection of Farmington Avenue and the Interstate 84 off-ramp.

Police said officers responded to the crash on Route 4 at about 9 p.m. Sunday, May 10.

The bicyclist was taken by ambulance to an area hospital and was listed in stable condition, police said.

Authorities said the driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.

The North Central Municipal Accident Reconstruction Squad is assisting the Farmington Police Department with the ongoing investigation.
