Three Area Teams Advance, Two Fall in Girls Basketball Tournaments
Farmington put up a gallant effort, but fell to defending champion Capital Prep in Class L.
Five teams from the north-central Connecticut area played second-round games in the CIAC girls basketball tournaments Friday, with three emerging victorious.
Canton and Windsor Locks both advanced to the Class S quarterfinals with victories, while Northwest Catholic did likewise in Class L.
Farmington went down to defeat in Class L, as did East Windsor in Class S.
