Three Injured in 4-Vehicle Crash in Farmington

Two people sustained potentially life-threatening injuries as a result of Thursday evening's crash.

FARMINGTON, CT — A four-vehicle accident at the junction of Farmington Avenue and Farm Glen Boulevard sent two people to the hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries Thursday evening, Lt. Colin Ryan said.

Farmington fire, East Farmington fire, Farmington police, UConn police, and AMR ambulance personnel responded to the crash, which was reported at 6:08 p.m. In addition to the two ambulance transports, one other individual was injured and treated on scene but refused transport to the hospital, Ryan said.

The identities of the injured parties have not yet been released pending notification of the families, Ryan said.

Farmington Avenue was closed for about five hours between South Road and Talcott Notch Road while the North Central Municipal Accident Reconstruction Squad (NCMARS) investigated the accident, Ryan said.

The Farmington Police Department case number for the incident is 16-18836. Any witnesses to the accident or anyone with any information about the accident is asked to call the Farmington Police Department at 860-675-2400.
