Tunxis Community College Graduates 472 Students
Grads in the school's class of 2022 hail from 62 Connecticut towns and several other states.
FARMINGTON, CT — Tunxis Community College held its 51st Commencement on May 25 outside in the college's courtyard.
A total of 607 degrees and certificates were conferred to 472 graduates from 62 Connecticut towns, as well as Florida, Iowa and Massachusetts.
"Many of the students we are honoring today will continue their studies or enter the workforce in various fields, including health care, art, business, law enforcement, manufacturing, education, technology, and science," said Dr. Darryl Reome, Tunxis campus CEO. "After today, you each will take a different path and create your own story — one that will likely contribute to the economic prosperity of our local community, our state, or beyond," he continued. "I am confident that the changes you have been a part of, and the success stories that we are celebrating today, will serve you well, allow you to be adaptable, embrace a constantly evolving landscape, and continue to flourish." He encouraged graduates to be influential by finding creative ways to give back, leading by example, serving as role models, mentoring youth, inspiring others, and making learning a lifelong practice.
