Tunxis Holds Open House

There is still time to apply and register at Tunxis for PACT, Connecticut's free community college program.

Tunxis Community College will hold an Open House on Oct. 28 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the 600 Building.

All are welcome to tour the campus and learn about Tunxis degree programs, attend financial aid, transfer options, and opportunities to get involved on campus. Tunxis faculty and staff will be available to answer questions and present on individual academic degree programs. To register for the event and view an online map of campus, visit tunxis.edu/openhouse. Masks and sign-in are required on campus.

On-the-spot acceptances will be granted for those who bring proof of high school completion, immunization records, unofficial transcript and have completed an online application.

There is still time to apply and register for PACT, Connecticut’s free community college program. Prospective students must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form, apply to Tunxis and be registered for spring semester classes by Nov. 15 for priority consideration. The FAFSA can be submitted online at www.fafsa.gov. For more eligibility information and details on PACT, visit ct.edu/pact.

Located in Farmington, Tunxis offers more than 70 associate degree and certificate programs that prepare students for transfer to bachelor’s degree programs and employment in areas with industry need. Tunxis transfer programs offer guaranteed admission to the CT State Universities and University of Connecticut. Transfer agreements with private colleges and universities are also available.
