UConn Health Opens Outpatient Facility in Farmington
The facility is expected to serve 4,000 people a day.

UConn Health has opened a new Outpaitent Pavilion that is expected to serve 4,000 people a day in Farmington.
The $203 million pavilion is part of a large UConn Health expansion, according to the Hartford Courant.
UConn Health financed the pavilion itself, but it received a $864 million proposal from the state to fund the rest of its expansion in 2011. Gov. Dannel Malloy has touted it as a way to keep the state on the cutting edge of the growing bioscience field.

The pavilion opened Feb. 3 and will house 600 employees. It should help cut down on time doctors and others spend on commuting.
