“I love talking about my time playing college basketball at UConn because I just love UConn,” Carr said. “The fans are so enthusiastic and energetic, it made me want to play for them.”

After graduating, Carr said he pursued a career in social work, focusing on mentoring and supporting young people in the Hartford area.

The event drew strong engagement from attendees, who listened to Carr’s remarks and participated in a post-presentation photo session.

Some residents held handmade signs in support of the Huskies.

Resident Joan Gross reacted enthusiastically to the presentation, saying, “Wow! Just wow!”
