Varsity Soccer Competes in NEPSAC Quarterfinals

Athletics

On Wednesday, November 15, Porter's varsity soccer hosted last year's New England Class B Champions Pingree School in the NEPSAC Quarterfinals. This marked the second year in a row Porter's made the postseason tournament.

This year's Class B was an especially competitive field, with the top six seeded teams each having lost just one game during the regular season. The game showed strong performances by both teams, including by Porter's players Carlyn K. '19 and Laura G. '20, who scored in the second half. The game went into overtime and, after more than 100 minutes of play, Pingree won the PK shootout 5-4.

"Congratulations to the girls who had another great season and who continue to maintain the level of the program," says Head Coach Avi Dubnov. "Thank you to the seniors for what they brought to the team both on and off of the field; a remarkable turnaround in the past four years."
