Varsity Basketball vs. Canterbury: W 58-39

Recap: Porter's Basketball was victorious against Canterbury 58-39 on Friday with the help of Delaney Nwachukwu '20, who scored 21 points in her first high school game. Varsity Basketball was very nervous in the first half and it showed on the court resulting in a 16-16 score at the half. With a shooting percentage of 50% (14-for-33), Nwachukwu had a great game from the field. She was also strong from the line, sinking 100% (7-for-7) of free throws attempted. Also helping the effort for Porter's were Clare Porter '19 (9 points, 10 rebounds, 5 steals, 1 block), Callie Godfrey '20 (8 points, 9 rebounds, 2 steals), Ana Bartkiewicz '20 (6 points, 4 rebounds), Evie Perez '17 (5 points, 3 rebounds), Kyla Gallagher '20 (4 points, 4 rebounds) Lila Conners '20 (3 points, 8 rebounds), and Ellen White '19 (2 points, 1 rebound, 1 steal). Porter's finished the game with 59 rebounds (27 offensive / 32 defensive), two blocks and 12 steals.

Recap: Porter's won 51-38 against Cheshire Academy on Saturday with the help of Evie Perez '17 who went into double digits, scoring 18 points for Porter's (5-for-10). Varsity Basketball came out slow again and took a two-point lead into halftime, 18-16. Porter's came out strong to start the second half with an 8-2 run and never looked back. Also helping the effort for Porter's were Clare Porter '19 (9 points, 3 rebounds, 3 steals) Delaney Nwachukwu '20 (5 points, 6 rebounds, 1 block), Lila Conners '20 (5 points, 3 rebounds, 1 steal), Callie Godfrey '20 (4 points, 5 rebounds, 3 steals) Sarah Zukowski '19 (3 points, 13 rebounds), Ellen White '19 (3 points, 2 rebounds), Kyla Gallagher '20 (2 points 4 rebounds, 2 steals) and Ana Bartkiewicz '20 (2 points, 3rebound). Porter's finished the game with 48 rebounds (20 offensive / 28 defensive) and 12 steals.

Recap: Porter's Basketball was victorious against Westover 66-37 on Saturday night to successfully defend their title at the Westover Tip-Off Classic. Varsity Basketball pulled ahead early, claiming an 19-1 lead and never looked back. With a shooting percentage of 75% (3-for-4), Kyla Gallagher '20 had a great game from the field, also making 67% (2-for-3) of threes attempted. She was also strong from the line, sinking 100% (2-for-2) of free throws attempted. Also helping the effort for Porter's were Delaney Nwachukwu '20 (9 points, 11 rebounds, 1 steal) Clare Porter '19 (8 points, 1 rebounds, 2 steals), Emily Wogelius '17 (6 points, 3 rebounds, 1 steal), Evie Perez '17 (6 points, 4 rebounds, 4 steals), Ana Bartkiewicz '17 (6 points, 1 rebounds, 2 steals), Lila Conners '20 (6 points, 2 rebounds, 2 steals), Julia Harrell '17 (5 points, 5 rebounds, 4 steals), Julia Teti '19 (3 points, 1 rebound), Maya Silva-Thompson '17 (3 points, 4 rebounds), Callie Godfrey '20 (2 points, 5 rebounds, 3 steals) and Sarah Zukowski '19 (2 points, 5 rebounds, 1 steal).
