Recap: Porter's Varsity had their last away game of the season vs. Westover on Wednesday afternoon. On a small and uneven field Westover had some success playing direct and into the channels, on a few occasions the home team were unlucky not to score. Katie Konin '19 opened the scoring after Emily Wogelius '18 corner fell in the box and Konin was the first player to react to place the ball into the bottom corner. Ten minutes after the first goal Laura Gouvin '20 struck a free kick from 20 yards into the bottom corner putting the girls in green 2-0 up. Co-Captain Wogelius made it 3-0 with a fine strike from 22 yards and then it was the Emma Updegrave '17 show as she finished 3 goals very well giving her a first career Hat trick! Kyla Gallagher '20 finished the scoring late in the second half with an individual effort and confirming the teams 17th win and 17th shut out of the season.

Recap: Sam Houle '17, Emily Wogelius '17, Emma Updegrave '17, Cami Beath '17 and Claire Beath '17 were celebrated on Saturday as seniors that have given so much to the program the past 4 years. In the last regular season game the team wanted to stay unbeaten and give a performance that the seniors would remember and enjoy being a part of. Porter's Varsity controlled the game and moved the ball around with composure, the captains lead the team as they always do. Carlyn Kosienski '19 cut inside and opened the scoring from 20 yards, a shot that made its way over the keeper and into the net. Early in the second half Kyla Gallagher '20 drove into the area and finished well into the bottom corner as the opposing keeper could only watch it hit the goal. Green Farms scored a nice free kick to make the score 2-1 but a corner fell to Laura Gouvin's '20 feet and on her second attempt she was able to volley the ball into the roof of the net completing the scoring for the day. Each senior has had a huge impact on the program, they have seen it grow and have grown with it. It is a fantastic achievement to go through the regular season unbeaten, win the Founders League and regular season B division and now enter the New England playoffs for only the second time in the programs history!
