Varsity Lacrosse vs. Kingswood-oxford: L 8-10
Recap: Porter's played an outstanding game against a talented KO team on Monday afternoon. We came out strong winning the first draw and scoring the first goal of the game. It was truly a battle all the way to the end. Essentially goal for goal till the last few minutes Porter's played harder and stronger than they ever have before. Lila Conners '20 was outstanding on the draw winning 10 of them and helping her teammates win 4 more. Cricket Barnes '19 had a hat trick with 3 goals, Conners '20 and Adi Jalinsaks '18 scored 2 each, and Elizabeth Muller '21 added 1 more. Shout out to Mel Belenardo '21 who did an excellent job on defense. Meg Keating '20 and Ana Bartkiewitctz '20 did a great job in the mid-field. We saw great playing from our entire defense and Sofie Brandt '19 played the whole game in goal and had an outstanding performance making 17 saves on the day.

Varsity Softball vs. Kent: W 16-1
Recap: Porter's softball traveled to Kent on a Monday afternoon to make up a previously scheduled game in April. Unlike the Greenwich game, we started quickly in the first inning, scoring 6 runs with notable hits by Gaelen Carroll '18, Jess Sardilli '19, and D'Vine Straughter '21 and two hits in one inning by Jenna Hall '20 after batting through the lineup. We added 5 more in the third and 5 more in the 4th and 5th. Sardilli '19 pitched another great game, allowing no earned runs. Overall, Porter's had 9 stolen bases and 13 hits.

Tuesday, May 8
Varsity Ultimate vs. Hebrew High School of New England: W 11-6
Recap: Porter's Ultimate traveled to Bloomfield to face off against Hebrew High School. This would be the third match against HHNE this season, and the teams had split the previous two matches. Porter's played with greater intensity and focus and took control of the match early with 2 quick scores. Porter's sometimes struggled to handle HHNE's quick-strike offensive style, but they played a controlled and flexible offense and drove the score forward. Porter's saw scores by Olivia Luppino '18, Julia Gardow '21, Maddy Allen '19, Alexa Robertson '20, and Shamreetaa Seeniraj '21.
Wednesday, May 9
Varsity Golf vs. Miss Hall's: W 3.5-1.5
Varsity Golf vs. Williston Northampton: L 1.5-3.5
Recap: On another gorgeous day for golf, Porter's earned a well-deserved split against Miss Hall's and Williston Northampton. Even though two top Porter's players were unable to make the trip to the Berkshires, everyone else on the team stepped up and played strong golf on a challenging, (still) wet course.
Varsity Lacrosse vs. Hotchkiss: L 3-18
Varsity Softball vs. Kingswood-Oxford: L 4-7
Recap: Porter's softball returned home after two previous away wins to face rivals Kingswood-Oxford on Wednesday. KO jumped to a quick lead in the first with two runs, but we responded in the bottom of the first with one run. Jenna Hall '20 got a lead-off walk and moved from first to third on a sacrifice bunt by Gaelen Carroll '18. Hall '20 then proceeded to steal home. KO maintained their lead until the 3rd when Julianna Diamantis '20 got on with a hit, Hall '20 followed with her own hit and both stole their respective bases. With runners at 2nd and third and one out, KO intentionally walked Jess Sardilli '19 and Lucinda De Laney '20 hit a blast into right field, clearing the bases, and putting Porter's on top 4-2. Unfortunately, we couldn't hold the lead and KO responded with 2 runs in the 5th and two more in the 7th. The hits by Hall '20, Diamantis '20, and De Laney '20 were all we managed in the game.
Varsity Tennis vs. Hotchkiss: L 0-9
Varsity Ultimate vs. Choate: L 4-8
Recap: Porter's Ultimate hosted Choate for the final home match of the year. Porter's played a solid game but were outmatched by Choate's speed and control, ending up losing 4-8. The home team saw goals by Joi Griffin '20, Maddy Allen '19, Dasha Sapronova '20 and Shamreethaa Seeniraj '21.
Thursday, May 10
Varsity Tennis vs. Westminster: L 1-8
Recap: In doubles, #1 Audrey Palmeri '18 and Sarah Wagner '20 put up a great fight against Westminster's Wilson and Kille but lost 4-6. The #2 doubles team of Roanna Zou '19 and Marjorie Plants '21 played their best doubles together to date, and they kept their opponents in their sights for most of the match before losing 6-8. In singles, #1 Wagner '20 was the only player to earn a win for the team. Her precision and consistency carried her to an 8-4 victory over Mary Kille. #4 Plants '21 fought for each and every point in her match against Westminster's Ellie Suit, but Suit ended up taking more games in the end.

Varsity Crew @ Dupont Cup: 4th Place
Varsity Lacrosse vs. Kent: L 7-14
Recap: Porter's played a strong Kent team on Saturday. The first half was tight with a 2-5 score at halftime. Sasha Provost '21 was outstanding in goal, especially in the first half, recording 29 saves on the game. Lila Conners '20 did excellent in the midfield scoring 4 goals, while Olivia Grommers '18, Cricket Barnes '19, and Elizabeth Muller '19 added one more each.
Varsity Track & Field @ Founders League Championships: 7th Place
Recap: The Founders League Track & Field Championship on Saturday, May 12th, with cold and rainy conditions, required true guts from all of its competitors. Porter's athletes should be proud of their efforts amongst a talented field in difficult conditions. Top scorer for the team was Sydni Scott '18. Scott placed 1st in the Triple Jump with a distance of 34'2'' and 3rd in the Long Jump with a distance of 15'2.5''. Also scoring for the team was Bella Heath '20 placing 4th in the 200 meters (28.18), Maryam Pate '20 placing 4th in the 300-meter hurdles with a personal best of 52.53, and Julianne Borgesgordon '19 (13.78) placing 5th in the 100-meter dash. The 4x400 meter team, which included Alba Clarke '20, Miriam Mathew '18, Maryam Pate '20, and Kyra Bukowski '18, placed 5th with a time of 4:44. Other highlights included personal bests from team captain, Bukowski '18, in the 1500 meters with a time of 5:45 as well as Marisol Carty '19 in the 3000 meters with a time of 12:34 and Alexia Sanabria '20 with a throw of 48'1'' in the Discus.
