Instead of signs littering the side of the road, all in red and blue, or pamphlets in my mailbox, proclaiming "American as Apple Pie, married, ties to Farmington, family..." give me a CONCRETE reason to vote for you. Tell me WHY you want to be on the Board of Education, or Town Council. Do you want to do away with Core Curriculum? Do you want to zone fewer CVS stores? What do you WANT to try to do? What did you do when you served? What needs changing? Preserving? Right now, unfortunately, I feel like I am going on the fact that one candidate, from whom I received a form letter, did NOT proofread said letter. Which, unfortunately, for me, reflects negatively on that candidate.
Please, for the next election, talk about what you want to do in the position for which you are running, and less about your lovely families. Thank you.
