June 4th is a doubly important day in the history of the struggle of humans to fight oppression and aspire to individual liberty. Seventy years ago, Allied troops arrived on the beaches of Normandy, France toward the ultimate defeat of Nazi Germany. Twenty five years ago, peaceful student demonstrations in Tiananmen Square, Beijing, China, would be silenced by government troops. Cherish our freedoms today and remember its champions.
