The foundation was established in 2022 in memory of Luke Roux, a Farmington resident who was killed by a drunk driver days after graduating from high school that year.
Organizers said the tournament will be held at the baseball fields where Roux grew up playing, honoring an activity that was an important part of his life.

The Luke Roux Foundation works to reduce deaths caused by impaired driving through education, advocacy, scholarships and community outreach programs. Its stated mission is “to reduce fatalities caused by impaired driving today and eliminate them tomorrow.”
The organization’s efforts focus on three areas: promoting vehicle technology designed to detect and prevent impaired driving, delivering education and awareness programs aimed at helping young people make safe decisions, and advocating for policy and corporate changes intended to prevent impaired driving.
Organizers said the tournament is intended both to bring the community together and to support ongoing efforts to reduce impaired-driving fatalities.
