Winning Lottery Ticket Sold At Farmington Gas Station

The $30 game ticket was purchased by an anonynous Plainville resident.

FARMINGTON/PLAINVILLE, CT — An anonymous Plainville resident's trip to a Farmington gas station Friday was a pretty profitable one.

That's because Connecticut Lottery Corp. officials report the individual won $50,000 playing the $1,000,000 Extreme Cash scratch-off game on Friday, Feb. 17.

And, they said, the ticket was purchased at Scott's Village Mobile at 834 Farmington Ave., Farmington.

The top prize for the $30 game is a $1 million annuity, so the $50,000 payout is far from the maximum possible winning.

But it's doubtful the winner isn't complaining too much.
