Winter Team State Championship History: Farmington High School
Indian squads have won six state team championships in winters past.
FARMINGTON, CT — As practices for high school winter sports officially get underway Monday (girls basketball, ice hockey and wrestling) and Thursday (boys basketball, indoor track, boys swimming and girls gymnastics), hopes run high for all teams to achieve the ultimate goal: winning a league championship, and possibly a state title.
To help squads get into the championship mentality, here is a listing of the six CIAC winter team titles won by Farmington High School in past years (* - indicates a co-op team):
- boys ice hockey (2) - Div. II: 2018*, 2005
- girls gymnastics (2) - Class M: 1998; Class S: 1992
- girls basketball (1) - Class L: 2013
- boys indoor track (1) - Class M: 1973
