Woman Killed On Her Birthday In Farmington Crash, Report Says

A 25-year-old woman was killed in a crash Sunday evening in Farmington and state police are seeking witnesses.

FARMINGTON, CT — State police are looking for witnesses in a crash in Farmington that claimed the life of a Hartford woman on her 25th birthday.

The crash took place at 7:03 p.m. on the westbound side of Interstate 84, just east of Exit 39.

According to a crash report, A 2013 Ford F250 was in the center lane and a 2013 Nissan Rogue was in the left lane. The driver of the Rogue lost control of the vehicle and sideswiped the Ford on its left side, the report continued.

The Rogue then veered to the left, struck and traveled through the metal beam guide rail adjacent to the paved median before rolling Vehicle 2 rolled over on the grass median, according t0 the report.

The Ford was able to stop on the shoulder and neither if its two occupants sought medical treatment, according to the report.

The driver of the Rogue had "minor pain" and was transported to an area hospital for evaluation., state police said.

The passenger, identified as Daisha Lewis, whose listed birthday indicated she turned 25 that day, was transported to an area hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries, according to the report.
