Performer, educator, media host, and writer Alika Hope has released Some People Are Homes: 20 Reflections on Love, Loss, and Hope, a lyrical collection of reflections exploring the people, moments, and emotional landscapes that shape who we become.

Through twenty interconnected reflections, Hope explores grief, motherhood, identity, relationships, resilience, spirituality, and the search for belonging. Blending memoir, cultural reflection, emotional honesty and storytelling, the book invites readers into intimate moments that show the fragile ways human beings keep choosing hope after life reshapes you.

“Some people become places we return to emotionally,” says Hope. “This book is about the people who shape us, save us, break us, teach us, and stay with us long after they’re gone.”

Known for her work across the arts, higher education, and social justice, Hope brings a multidisciplinary perspective to the page. A Columbia University and University of Notre Dame graduate whose creative work has received a Gold Global Music Award, her writing combines reflective observation with grounded emotional insight, offering readers stories that are both deeply personal and widely relatable.

The release arrives as conversations surrounding emotional authenticity, belonging, healing, and human connection continue to resonate across audiences. Rather than offering simple answers, Some People Are Homes creates space for reflection, vulnerability, and hope.

The book is available now on Amazon Kindle and in paperback. Book Link: bit.ly/49sUkrV
