GLASTONBURY, CT — Construction is underway on roads included in the 2026 town paving program, with stormwater inlet top replacements already in progress on several streets.
The roads in area No. 1 are: Cooper Drive, Pearl Street, Pratt Street, Spring Street, Great Swamp Road from Hillstown Road to Deerfield Drive, Back Land Road and Bluff Point Road. According to the town, stormwater inlet tops are currently being replaced on those roads as part of the paving work now underway.
Residents along streets in the No. 1 section will soon receive notifications asking them to mark sprinkler heads with flags. The town said that step is intended to minimize the risk of damage during the paving process.
Area Np. 2 includes: Barrington Way, Querido Drive, Lexington Road, Duxbury Lane, Urbanec Road and Long Hill Drive. The town said its contractor, B&W Paving, will be replacing inlets within Mobilization Area #2 over the next few weeks.
Residents in that area are being advised that inlet tops may be stored on front lawns within the town’s right-of-way for up to a week before they are installed.
The paving program will also include a third and final mobilization later this year. According to the town, that phase is scheduled for late summer or early fall and will cover Ashley Court, Heather Glen Road, Leigh Gate Road, Steep Hollow Drive and Stonepost Road.
