• New Fire Marshal Appointed In Glastonbury (patch.com) — Glastonbury has named Douglas J. “DJ” Zordan as its new municipal fire marshal, with his tenure beginning June 15. Bringing more than two decades of fire prevention and emergency management experience, he will lead local fire inspections, code enforcement, investigations, and public education while working closely with town departments, businesses, and residents.    

• Glastonbury to revisit Vessel's affordable housing plan after legal defeat (ctpost.com) — Glastonbury officials will revisit Vessel Technologies’ 48-unit, partly affordable apartment proposal on Kreiger Lane after losing a lengthy court battle over their earlier denial. The TPZ will discuss the application on June 16, while other sizable affordable projects have recently been approved in town, raising questions about school impacts, zoning, and how Glastonbury meets state housing requirements.
