Driver Arrested In Case Of Vehicle Fleeing Glastonbury Traffic Stop in Construction Zone In April

GLASTONBURY, CT — On Tuesday, 27-year-old Joseph Bovino of East Hartford was arrested on an active warrant in connection with an April incident during which police say he fled a traffic stop through an active construction zone in Glastonbury.

According to the Glastonbury Police Department, Bovino was taken into custody while appearing at Manchester Superior Court on an unrelated matter.

Police said the arrest stems from an incident that occurred during the early morning hours of April 25, when officers conducted a traffic stop in an active construction zone on House Street in Glastonbury.

Authorities said that after officers made contact with the driver, the vehicle fled at a high rate of speed through the construction area before continuing into East Hartford.

Following an investigation, police said they were able to identify both the vehicle involved and Bovino as the driver.

Bond was set at $75,000, which Bovino posted, with a July 14 court date.
