GLASTONBURY, CT =— A 158-acre agricultural property on Glastonbury's Meadow Road has been listed for sale for $2.623 million, according to a Zillow listing.
The vacant land at 0 Meadow Road is described as Connecticut River bottomland with soils identified as prime and of statewide significance for agriculture. According to the listing, the property periodically floods and has access to irrigation for its fields from the Connecticut River.
The listing states the sale also includes a two-thirds ownership interest in an adjoining 44-acre parcel that is mostly wooded, with about 10 acres of agricultural land. The remaining one-third owner has a right of first refusal, according to Zillow.
The property is described as being in an area of historical farming significance in Glastonbury that has been farmed since the early 1800s for tobacco and row crops. The listing says the soils are known for their agricultural productivity.
