• Glastonbury To Replace Sanitary Sewer Force Main On Cider Mill Road (patch.com) — Glastonbury officials are preparing to replace about 1,000 feet of sanitary sewer force main along Cider Mill Road starting around September 1, with work expected to last up to 30 days. While trenching will run down the center of the road, sanitary service should continue uninterrupted thanks to a temporary bypass pipe, and both emergency vehicles and school buses will retain access as residents are urged to drive carefully through the construction zone.
• Drawn by community, impressive 1L class joins Quinnipiac School of Law family (qu.edu) — A Glastonbury resident, Samantha Misar, is among 142 new students starting at Quinnipiac University School of Law, drawn by its part-time program and strong sense of community. The incoming class is smaller, more selective, and notably diverse, with rising LSAT and GPA averages and many students citing the school's supportive culture as their main reason for enrolling.
• Long COVID in the Pharmacy: Recognition, Referral, and the Role of Vaccination (pharmacytimes.com) — A pharmacist from Glastonbury, Jack Vinciguerra, explains how local pharmacies can help spot possible long COVID cases and guide patients to proper care. He highlights common symptom clusters, stresses timely referrals, and notes that up-to-date COVID-19 vaccination can reduce both severe illness and the risk of developing long COVID.
