GLASTONBURY, CT — The Connecticut Department of Transportation is slated to conduct overnight pavement marking work on Route 83 in Glastonbury beginning Sunday, Aug. 30.
The work is part of a larger pavement marking project on state routes throughout Central Connecticut and is scheduled to continue through Nov. 6.
Work generally will take place Sunday through Friday nights between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m., according to CTDOT.
The project includes pavement marking grooves, centerline rumble strips and epoxy pavement markings on center and shoulder lines.
Traffic control personnel, signs, cones and truck-mounted attenuators will be used as needed to guide motorists through work zones.
The schedule is subject to change or extension because of weather and other unforeseen circumstances. Motorists traveling through work areas are advised to use caution and maintain a safe speed.
Safety Markings Inc. is performing the work.
