GLASTONBURY, CT — Glastonbury has postponed its America's 250th Birthday Bash because of forecasted inclement weather this weekend, town officials announced Thursday.
The celebration had been scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 26, at Riverfront Park.
The town said the decision was made with the safety of guests, vendors, performers, staff and others involved in the event as the top priority.
Officials are working to secure a new date and said details will be announced once they are confirmed.
The event is part of local observances marking the 250th anniversary of American independence.
