Back to School in Glastonbury — A Few Dates to Note

GLASTONBURY, CT — Here are a few important dates from the 2016-17 Glastonbury public school system calendar:

• Aug. 25: CIAC first official day of fall sports practices.
• Aug. 31: First day of school for grades 7 through 12.
• Sept. 1: First day of school for grades K through 6.
• Nov. 24-25: Thanksgiving break.
• Dec. 26-Jan. 2: Holiday recess.
• Feb. 20: Presidents Day.
• Feb. 21: Winter recess.
• June 9: Last day of school (tentative).
