Bad Plate Leads to Drug Arrest in Glastonbury

Police caught an accused drug dealer after a traffic stop, according to a report.

GLASTONBURY, CT — A man driving around with a faulty registration was pinched for drugs after a traffic stop, police said.

The incident involving 30-year-old Hartford resident Khalil Airam Pizaro-Alvarez took place at 9:56 p.m. on Valentine's Day, police said.

He was pulled over on Pratt Street near Main Street for a plate that did not match the vehicle, police said.

Officers found cocaine, MDMA, Suboxone, marijuana and a large amount of cash along with other evidence of drug sales, police said.

In addition to motor vehicle violations, Pizaro-Alvarez was charged with selling and possessing narcotics and a hallucinogen and for possessing marijuana, police said.

He posted a $25,000 bond and was assigned a Feb. 28 court sate, police said.
