Bridge In Glastonbury Set For Inspection Work

GLASTONBURY, CT — Inspections are set for this month on a heavily traveled bridge in Glastonbury.
The Connecticut Department of Transportation's Division of Bridge Safety and Evaluation has hired TranSystems to conduct highway bridge inspections throughout the state and TranSystems has notified Glastonbury officials that its crews will be conducting inspections on the bridge that carries Route 2 over Quarry Road this month.
This work is expected to take place occur over a two-day period beginning on Jan. 15 and ending on Jan. 16, officials said.

Work is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Lane closures will be in place on Quarry Road and motorists should expect minor delays, officials said. Traffic control will be handled by TranSystems personnel and the Glastonbury Police Department.
