Campus Accomplishments By Glastonbury College Students

Emerson College, Boston MA

• Five students from Glastonbury have been named to Emerson College's Dean's List for the spring 2019 semester. The requirement to make the Dean's List is a grade point average of 3.7 or higher that semester. Glastonbury honorees are John Diloreto, majoring in Media Arts Production and a member of the Class of 2019; Erin Kaswan, majoring in Media Arts Production and a member of the Class of 2019; Katherine Obedzinski, majoring in Media Studies and a member of the Class of 2019; Andrew Shipman, majoring in Musical Theatre and a member of the Class of 2019; and Samantha Wallbrown, majoring in Writing, Lit and Publishing and a member of the Class of 2020.

Wesleyan University, Middletown CT

• On May 8, two students from Glastonbury received Wesleyan University prizes and awards during a reception. Celeste Smith of Glastonbury, a member of the class of 2019 majoring in Earth and Environmental Sciences and Science in Society, earned the Friends of the Wesleyan Library Undergraduate Research Prize and the Mary and John Sease Prize, awarded for outstanding work in environmental science. Allie Goss, a member of the class of 2020 majoring in Chemistry, earned the Martius Yellow Award for excellence in organic synthesis.
