Hamilton College, Clinton NY

• Zachary Mendelovici of Glastonbury received a bachelor of arts degree from Hamilton College on Sunday, May 26, at the Commencement ceremony concluding the college's 207th year. A public policy major at Hamilton, Mendelovici now joins an alumni body of more than 23,000, many of whom have made important contributions to business, the professions, government and the arts.

Tufts University, Medford MA

• Nearly 1,500 undergraduate students were awarded degrees in disciplines ranging from the sciences and engineering to the humanities and fine arts during Tufts University's annual commencement, which featured an address by award-winning actress and activist Alfre Woodard. Graduates from the School of Arts and Sciences and School of Engineering from Glastonbury included: Kaitlin Rogers, with a degree in Quantitative Economics (BS), Summa Cum Laude; Kelly Donohue, with a degree in Enviro Engineering (BSEVE), Magna Cum Laude; Alexander Demircan, with a degree in History (BA), Magna Cum Laude; and Thomas Reardon, with a degree in Biology (BS), Magna Cum Laude.

University of Vermont, Burlington VT

• Some 3,275 students, including six from Glastonbury, were awarded degrees during the University of Vermont's 218th commencement ceremonies. Quinten Adkins graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration; Michael Coughlin graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration; Abbie Kelly graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Science & Disorders; Joseph Nuzzolo graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering; Marissa Pappalardo graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Studies; and Isabelle Rutkowski graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.

Wesleyan University, Middletown CT

• On May 26, three students from Glastonbury earned degrees at Wesleyan University. Peter DeLalio earned a BA degree in Economics; Celeste Smith earned a BA degree in Earth and Environmental Sciences and Science in Society, and received Honors in Earth and Environmental Sciences; and Sara Wagner earned a MA degree in Earth & Environmental Science.
