Belmont University, Nashville TN

  • Sophie Vredenburg, from Glastonbury, qualified for the spring 2019 Dean's List at Belmont University. Eligibility is based on a minimum course load of 12 hours and a quality grade point average of 3.5 with no grade below a C.

  • Joshua Wagner from Glastonbury recently graduated from Emerson College, receiving a BFA degree in Media Arts Production on Sunday, May 12. Emerson College awarded more than 970 undergraduate degrees and on Saturday, May 11, awarded nearly 300 graduate degrees during the College's Commencement ceremonies.

University of Southern California, Los Angeles CA

  • Kevin Kuzia of Glastonbury was recently initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation's oldest and most selective all-discipline collegiate honor society. Kuzia was initiated at the University of Southern California. He is among approximately 30,000 students, faculty, professional staff and alumni to be initiated into Phi Kappa Phi each year. Membership is by invitation only and requires nomination and approval by a chapter. Only the top 10 percent of seniors and 7.5 percent of juniors are eligible for membership.

Wilkes University, Wilkes-Barre PA

  • Wilkes University awarded 797 bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees at its 72nd spring commencement ceremonies on May 18. Karen Bonfiglio of Glastonbury received a Master of Science in Education.

Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Worcester MA

  • Joshua Herlands of Glastonbury was a member of the WPI baseball team that captured the 2019 NEWMAC West Division title. The Engineers have captured the division four of the last five seasons under the guidance of head coach Mike Callahan.
