Car Crashes Into Famed Chocolate Shop In Glastonbury
A vehicle wound up inside a famous chocolate shop in Glastonbury Monday.

GLASTONBURY, CT — A car ran into a famous chocolate shop in Glastonbury Monday.
At 2:45 p.m., Glastonbury police, firefighters and an EMS crew responded to Somerset Square, 140 Glastonbury Boulevard, where a white Buick sedan being driven by a 76-year-old man, had run into Munson’s Chocolates.
Police said the sedan drove over the sidewalk and through the front entrance of the store, which was open for business at the time of the incident.

No injuries were reported inside, but the driver was transported to an area hospital for evaluation, police said.
A Glastonbury building official evaluated the building for structural damage before the vehicle was removed, and a property management crew began work to secure the storefront.
