Car Takes Out Fence In Glastonbury

The driver of a car that took out a fence in Glastonbury was charged, police said.

GLASTONBURY, CT — A driver was charged in a Friday crash in which a fence was taken out, Glastonbury police said.

At 1:33 a.m. on Oct. 5, police went to New London Turnpike near Paxton Way for a car that had reportedly hit a fence. The driver had fled the scene, according to a report.

Nicholas Chiapponi, 21, was charged with evading the scene of an accident involving property damage, failure to drive upon right and traveling too fast for conditions, according to a report.
