Car Whacks Street Light In Glastonbury
A driver coming off Route 3 couldn't make a turn over the weekend in Glastonbury, police said.

GLASTONBURY, CT — A driver who took out a street light in Glastonbury over the weekend wound up being charged for drunken driving, police said.
The crash took place Sunday at 2:39 a.m.
Police on patrol saw a car come whipping off Route 3 and the driver failed to negotiate a left-hand turn, according to an arrest report. The car traveled onto a median and smashed into a street light, according to an arrest report.

The driver, a 35-year-old Glastonbury resident, was charged with driving under the influence and failure to drive upon right. He is scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court on Oct. 6.
