The festivities will be held on the Center (Fountain) Green in Glastonbury – corner Main Street and Hebron Avenue. “We invite the entire community to participate in this uplifting evening,” said Rabbi Yosef Wolvovsky, Executive Director of Chabad. “Every year, we come away inspired and full of joy.”

The Rabbi emphasizes that this event is free of charge and open to all. Just come and celebrate!

In addition to the kindling of the giant (9-foot-tall!) community Menorah candelabra, the evening will include a special performance by the Chabad Hebrew School Choir. Participants will get to meet “Mr. Dreidle.” In addition, hot cider and warm potato “Latkes” (pancakes) will be served. There will also be free raffles.

“The Menorah and its candles have always been a symbol of unity,” said Rabbi Wolvovsky. “Chanukah celebrates the freedom of all mankind.”
