Citizen, Animal Control Officer Rescue Young Goose In Glastonbury

A young goose was rescued in Glastonbury with a little teamwork.

GLASTONBURY, CT — An alert citizen and an Glastonbury animal control officer teamed up to rescue a lost baby goose Thursday.

The little gosling fell into a drain while out with its family, but it wasn't in peril for long.

Town officials said that a citizen managed to not only mark the spot where the young goose fell but keep track of the family of geese as it crossed a street to a nearby river.

In came Glastonbury Animal Control Officer Alexandra Berrio, who was able to find and pull the the young goose to safety and reunite it with its family.
