Collections Employees at American Eagle Federal Credit Union Donate $300 Winnings to Two East Hartford Charities
The six employees from the American Eagle Federal Credit Union Collections Department generously donated $150 to the East Hartford Food Bank and $150 to the East Hartford Protectors of Animals.
“The employees had earned this money though their excellent results in an incentive program and process called Extreme Service & Resolution, in which member and internal customer issues are resolved at first contact, then the processes are fixed so the same thing does not happen again,” said Ann Riley, Vice President of Organizational Excellence at American Eagle FCU.

When the Collections employees learned about winning the $300 prize, they decided that rather than spend the money as a group, they would donate the entire amount to help a local Food Bank and Animal Shelter. “When my staff told me what they wanted to do, I thought it was a wonderful gesture from a dedicated team of employees,” said Allan Nadeau, Collections Manager at American Eagle FCU.
“This donation from the Credit Union employees will help to provide a safe haven for cats and dogs, feeding them, and managing their veterinary needs such as vaccines, tests, and spay/neuter,“ said John Thomas, Director of Shelter Operations at Protectors of Animals.
