Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy NY
- After being named the Field Athlete of the Meet at the conference championship while helping the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute men's track & field team to the title, student-athlete Mark Shapiro of Glastonbury has been named the Liberty League Field Performer of the Week. A junior thrower, Shapiro won two events over the weekend, capturing the hammer throw with a personal collegiate best of 51.19 meters and the discus with a toss of 46.74 meters. He also competed in the shot put, finishing ninth at 13.41 meters. He defeated 20 others in the hammer and 21 in the discus to collect 20 total points and lead the Engineers to their eleventh consecutive conference championship. This is the second outdoor Field Athlete of the Meet award for Shapiro, a mathematics major who was honored in 2018 after being a dual winner in two events. He captured the discus with a toss of 43.05 meters, nearly four meters ahead of the next best throw, and the shot put with a throw of 49.07 meters. In six outdoor meets this season, he won the discus twice and finished second twice, he was first in the hammer once and third three times and he won the shot put once.

- Brittany Uricchio of Glastonbury was among the University of Scranton students inducted into Mu Kappa Tau, the national honor society for marketing. The national honor society was founded in 1966 to recognize scholarship and high academic accomplishment among marketing students. The University's chapter of the honor society was established in 2016.
Uricchio is a senior marketing major at the Jesuit university.
