  • Tyler Peterson, from Glastonbury, graduated from Bucknell University on May 19, 2019.

  • Clarkson University awarded over 750 bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees to students from 27 states, 22 countries and 57 New York state counties, this spring. An additional 338 students received degrees this past winter and summer. Elizabeth Szumski of Glastonbury received a bachelor of science degree with distinction in global supply chain management, project management minor, while John Sardo of Glastonbury received a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering, mathematics minor, project management minor.

Clemson University, Clemson SC

  • William E. Fisher of South Glastonbury graduated from Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science in Financial Management. Fisher was among 3,600 students who received degrees at the May 9-10 ceremonies at Littlejohn Coliseum.

St. Lawrence University, Canton NY

  • Jack C. Twardy of South Glastonbury has been selected for membership in the St. Lawrence University chapter of Phi Alpha Theta, the national history honorary society. Twardy is a member of the Class of 2020 and is majoring in history and business in the liberal arts. Twardy attended Glastonbury High School. In order to be eligible for membership in the Pi Eta Chapter of Phi Alpha Theta, a student must have taken at least four courses in history and obtained an grade-point average (GPA) of 3.1. The student also must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0.

University of New Hampshire, Durham NH

  • Four students from Glastonbury graduated from the University of New Hampshire in May 2019. Students who received the honor of summa cum laude graduated with a GPA of 3.85-4.0; students who received the honor of magna cum laude graduated with a GPA of 3.65-3.84; and students who received the honor of cum laude graduated with a GPA of 3.50-3.64. Lucia Polo-Lossius graduated Cum Laude with a BA degree in Psychologyl; Emily Cunningham graduated with a BS degree in BusAdm:Management; Renee Kennedy graduated with a BA degree in English/Journalism; and Shea O'Callaghan graduated Cum Laude with a BS degree in Human Development & Family Studies.

University of Vermont, Burlington VT

  • Andrew Stoloff, Class of 2020, has been named to the dean's list for the spring 2019 semester at the University of Vermont. Stoloff, from Glastonbury, is majoring in Biology in the College of Arts and Sciences. To be named to the dean's list, students must have a grade-point average of 3.0 or better and rank in the top 20 percent of their class in their respective college or school.
