Clarkson University, Potsdam NY
- Elizabeth A. Szumski of Glastonbury, a global supply chain management major, was named to the Dean's List for the spring 2019 semester at Clarkson University. Dean's List students must achieve a minimum 3.25 grade-point average and also carry at least 14 credit hours.

- Eastern Connecticut State University's Social Work Program held its annual Phi Alpha Honor Society Induction ceremony on May 18 in the Betty Tipton Room of the Student Center. At the ceremony 38 new members were inducted into the Phi Alpha Honor Society for Social work. Among the inductees was Ashley Sanzaro of Glastonbury, who majors in Social Work.
- Eastern Connecticut State University's Honors Program held its senior reception on May 18 in the Johnson Room of the J. Eugene Smith Library. The event celebrated the achievements of 25 graduating students enrolled in the university's highly selective Honors Programs. Among the honorees was Shayne Sampognaro of Glastonbury, who majors in Biology. Sampognaro was congratulated for his outstanding academic achievements and his senior thesis titled "Identification of a Phosphodiesterase-5 Inhibitor."
Lehigh University, Bethlehem PA
- Alexa Morin of Glastonbury graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business and Economics degree with a major in Finance and Economics with High Honors from Lehigh University in Spring 2019. During Commencement ceremonies on May 20, 2019, Lehigh University conferred 1,058 Bachelor's degrees, 339 Master's degrees, and 47 Doctoral degrees. Of the nearly 1,500 graduates, degree recipients came from 44 states and 61 countries and majored in 99 different disciplines.
- Cathryn Peterson of Glastonbury graduated with a Master of Arts degree with a major in Political Science from Lehigh University in spring 2019.

- Oklahoma City University is proud to announce that Corinne Prudente of Glastonbury has been named to the President's Honor Roll for the spring 2019 semester. Students must complete a minimum of 12 credit hours during a semester and maintain a GPA of 3.9 or higher to meet the President's Honor Roll requirements.
Tufts University, Medford MA
- Tufts University recently announced the dean's list for the spring 2019 semester. Students from Glastonbury earning dean's list honors were Calvin Aroh, Alexander Demircan, Kelly Donohue, Kelsey Foster, Jake Gardner, Madeline Norman, Thomas Reardon and Jonathan Rodriguez. Dean's list honors at Tufts University require a semester grade point average of 3.4 or greater.
- Katelyn McFadden, of Glastonbury, recently graduated from Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University during its 37th commencement ceremony on May 19. McFadden was one of 157 students, whose studies varied from veterinary medicine to the intersection of animals and public policy, to infectious disease and global health.
Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Worcester MA
- On Saturday, May 11, on the Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) campus quadrangle, 1,019 bachelor's degrees were awarded during the university's 151st commencement ceremony. Six students from Glastonbury were awarded bachelor of science degrees: Katherine Charla, chemical engineering with distinction; Joshua Herlands, mechanical engineering; Romelle Jack, aerospace engineering; Cameron Maitland, computer science; Catherine Matyas, biomedical engineering with high distinction; and William Suriner, interactive media and game development with distinction.
