College Achievements By Students From Glastonbury

Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic CT

• The men's soccer team at Eastern Connecticut State University recently began its fall 2019 season, with 11 new players and 20 returning players. Among the student athletes on this year's team is number 22, Harvey Lipman of South Glastonbury, who majors in Exploratory Prof. Studies. Lipman plays forward. This is his first year with the team.

Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy NY

• The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) has announced the Football Players of the Month for September 2019 and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) student-athlete John Sadak of Glastonbury and Xavier High School has been chosen as the Division III North's top defensive player. Through four games, Sadak, a linebacker, has helped the Engineers to three wins as the team's leading tackler. He has 15 unassisted stops, 13 assisted tackles and 4.5 tackles for a loss of 13 yards - all first on the squad. He also has a 6-yard sack and an interception.
